It's become tradition for us to head to the Dacula Memorial Day parade with friends. It's such a great time and such a great way to remember those who fought and lost their lives for our freedom. This was the first year Whitney kind of understood what it was about. More than just candy. But let's face it, the candy was a huge bonus for her and the other kiddos. So thankful for those who have served and do serve so we can enjoy things like a small town parade with candy. And blue sno-cones.

Fun at the Lake
You pretty much can't beat a lazy day at the lake. Our friends, the Jenkins, invited us up to her parents lake house on Saturday. It was the girls first time to really swim or do lake activities. We tubed, skied, played, jet skied, even jumped off the top deck! But most importantly spent some awesome time with some awesome people! So blessed by our friends! We love them all!

Ballet
Lindsey had her last day of ballet. The little ones don't have a "real" recital but they gave them a special tutu and let us come watch the little sweet things!

Big 33
Ben once played in a highschool all-star game called the Big 33. Actually, he didn't play, he broke his ankle in practice the week of, but anyway...I turned the Big 33. As in 33 years old. I guess I feel like an all-star, or at least the fam made me feel like one.
Some birthday cake
A birthday present, a totally unexpected ipad
And some birthday whacks. Why does it look like they are enjoying it so much? :)

Mother's Day
It was a rainy day in Georgia, but that didn't stop my family from spoiling me on Mother's Day! It acutally started the day before with a fancy watch from my hubby. He's pretty special. But on the day of, we all had breakfast in bed, complete with scrambled eggs and sausage (made by Ben), a doughnut, Reese cup, orange juice, a card and flowers, green ones, because green is my favorite color. All picked out by the girls. We went to church, hung at home for a bit and then headed to our friends for a little friendly competition. The men cook, we all eat and the mom's judge. The prize, a silver horse head statue. I wish I had a picture of it. It's a real gem. Last year Mandy's brother took her home. This year, Chad took home the prize with egg rolls and tiramisu chocolate mousse. There's always next year honey...

Whitney Preschool Graduation
I really don't have a lot to say about this. I don't really know what to say about it. She looked really cute. They all did. It was fun to think about which of these pictures will be in a senior book. Which friendships will grow. I wonder what they'll be like when they are graduating from high school. Where will they be heading? What dreams will they be pursuing? For now, we'll just enjoy the moments as they come. And think about how cute they are.

Last Day of Preschool
The girls are out of school for the summer! Yahoo! Yippee! But for this mama, it's not so "Yahoo" and "Yippee." It wasn't just the last day of preschool. It was Whitney's very last day of preschool, ever. I just can't believe it. Blah! She herself was a little sad about it last night. She said she was going to miss her teachers and friends. And worried that her new school wasn't going to have swings. I assured her they would. We had big parties at school to celebrate. Snow cones, pizza, cupcakes, lots of hugs and pictures, playing and goodbyes. So thankful for the girls' experiences at school. All their teachers have been top notch!
Big girls!
