Halloween!

Finally trick or treat night was here!  The girls had been so excited for it.  Their little friends Addison and Rylinn came over for pizza before we all headed out to collect the loot.  Addison is in Whitney's class at school and also her art class.  Rylinn is Addi's sister, so Rylinn and Lindsey play together while we're waiting for the big sisters to finish in art class.  This was really our first time to actually go door to door in a neighborhood to trick or treat.  Ben has either been away, or had a game, or something and the teams we've been with have always had something so we just treated that as the girls trick or treat.  Anyway, it was fun and all the kiddos had a blast.  And we have way too much candy in the house...
Tinkerbell, Belle, Minnie Mouse, Olivia
The little ones were over it before the older ones.  Just thought I'd catch this pouter.  Hehe!

Trick or Treat with the Panthers

The team had a little trick or treat at the facility.  They decorated the different team meeting rooms and the kiddos went door to door collecting.  My parents made it to town in time to participate too.  The girls love when their grandparents are around.  The girls were excited about all the candy, of course, and to meet Sir Purr, the team mascot.

Love the excitement here...
And here...And how wide little Lindsey's arms are wrapped around...

Yo Gabba Gabba!

We took the girls to see Yo Gabba Gabba.  For those who don't know, it's a children's show on Nick Jr. and I really don't know how to explain it, but the girls love it and it's super fun.  And for them to see it live, look out, they were beside. them. selves.  We hadn't told them where we were going, but as we drove by the little arena, Whitney spotted a sign that we could tell got her thinking.  Then she saw another, and just started screaming, "We're gonna see Yo Gabba Gabba? Ahhhhhhh!! Lindsey, we're going to see Yo Gabba Gabba!"  Then Lindsey screamed, "Ahhhhhhh!!"  Picture huge smiles and feet kicking, arms flailing.  It was adorable. So worth it.  The show itself was great.  The girls loved it.  They sang all their best known songs and the girls danced and sang along.  They frantically waved to their favorite characters, Foofa (Whit's) and Muno (Linds') all the while yelling as loud as their little voices could "Hiiiiiii Foofa!", "Hiiiiiii Muno!"  (I know, weird names, just check out the show.)  It was precious.  We are so thankful God has allowed us to be able to do things like this for our girls and our family.  I know Ben and I will never forget how excited those little girls were when they figured it out.  Blessed.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to take any pictures inside the arena, but here's one of the girls eating "dinner" before the show, aka. M&M's, juice, popcorn and fruit snacks...

Mr. Jack-O-Lantern

Daddy and the girls carved our pumpkin last night.  Whitney loved scooping out all the gunk and rubbed it all over herself. Linds was a little more shy about it a first, but then she got into it too.  They are fun little girls and we are ready for a fun Halloween weekend!

Fun at Gymnastics

Here's Whitney the gymnast!

Costume Day at School

The girls had costume day at school to go along with the Fall Harvest parties.  They were so excited to wear their costumes and see their friends costumes!  And, just in case you're not sure, Whitney is Tinkerbell and Lindsey is Olivia.

Panther Halloween Party

Steve and Angie Smith hosted a Halloween Party for the team at an upscale bowling alley.  They had a private room with two lanes.  I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've dressed up since 6th grade.  And we're not big Halloween people so it was difficult to come up with a costume.  When we went out to look, we got tired of looking, so we both threw our hands up and bought ketchup and mustard costumes.  I hated them.  But I was tired of looking.  After a good nights sleep, I woke feeling revived and went out to piece together Danny and Sandy from Grease.  I can't tell you how happy I was to not have to be dressed up at mustard!  It was a really fun night.  There were a lot of great costumes.  One of the best was Dorothy and Tin Man, but the guy was Dorothy, and he is an offensive lineman.  It was good.  One guy had a full, like, movie quality Chewbacca.  My favorite was a bee and bee keeper.  I may steal that if we need to dress up again sometime.  Oh, and don't worry, the ketchup and mustard costumes got used by Jeremy Shockey and Cam Newton...entertaining to say the least.

Pumpkin Patch!

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  Hay ride, animals, pumpkins, beautiful day, my loves = super day!  Thankful for all my blessings!
