Memorial Day at the Lake

We've gone to the Dacula parade every year since we've lived here I think.  But this year, we changed it up!  We decided to hit up the Gainesville Memorial Day parade on our way up to spend the day at Lake Lanier with friends.  Paddle boats, jet skis, pontoon rides...Whitney's first time knee boarding and jumping off the top deck.  Great parade, great friends, great fun, great DAY!

The guys pulled it off again!  Delicious smoked chicken by Barry and an even bigger and better fireworks show this year!  These guys LOVE it!

Whitney's Last Day of 1st Grade

1st grade is officially over for Whitney!  She limbo-ed right on into the 2nd grade!  She's grown up a lot over the school year.  Learned a lot, grew a lot, lost some teeth, got some snaggly teeth...lots of good changes.  Ben and I were talking the other day...it's obviously hard to see your kids grow up.  It happens fast, just like everyone said it would.  But, it's also exciting.  We are excited to watch them grow, to see what they learn about themselves, their likes and dislikes, what God has in store for their lives.  So, even though its tough to see another year has passed, it's fun to think about what around the corner!

Sparks Awards

Whitney finished up her second year of Awana Sparks!  She's done a great job working hard to finish her book this year memorizing more scriptures than I probably ever will.  She was super excited about her big blue ribbon!  And to make silly faces with her silly friend Samantha!

Mid 30s

I hit the big 35 this year!  I had a great day celebrating with Ben and the girls!  I had a birthday nap, some yummy chocolate cake and then dinner and a concert-Jason Aldean/Florida Georgia Line.  Feeling blessed at 35!
