Daddy's Gone

While daddy's away, the girls and I like to send him pictures of what we're doing to brighten his day! We miss you!

Football is Back

Yep.  Football is back.  Free agency started Tuesday, July 26th.  Ben was blessed to have a new deal done with a new team by Wednesday.  On Friday, he left for camp.  Sigh...We are proud to be Carolina Panthers now!  Although Whitney says she is still going to "pretend to cheer for the Jets."  I'm not sure what kind of psychological damage we are doing to our girls...time will tell I suppose.  It was an awesome off season.  Not since we've been married have we had such a glorious off season.  But it's time to get back to work for my hubby.  And time to move again.  And find new schools, gyms, churches, grocery stores, places to explore, meet new friends...make another chapter in this crazy football life.  God has blessed us beyond what we can imagine.  We must always remember that.  Looking forward to see what He has in store for us this year.

Sleepover!

So a great thing about Lindsey being in a big bed now is that when we have company over now, the girls can sleep together so our guests can sleep in Whitney's bed, and we get to stay in our own bed. :)  Grammy and Grandpa Hartsock came to visit so we gave it a whirl and after about an hour of giggling they finally went to sleep.  I was excited for them to get to do this.  What a fun thing for sisters to do!

Ben's Workout Buddies

So during the lockout Ben's been training here in Georgia with a group of high school guys, college guys, and rookie and current NFL guys.  He's had the best time!

Say it Ain't So

Lindsey's in a big girl bed.  So hard to believe!  It was bittersweet taking that crib apart for the last time. Ever.  She loves her bed though, and so far it's been an easy transition. Yay!

Folly Beach

Chad and Mandy invited us to join in on her family's beach vacation to Folly Beach, SC.  We're always up for a good time with the Hutcheson's, Lockhart's and Henderson's so we happily accepted!  We had a lot of fun times this year and were able to do somethings that we weren't able to do last year at the beach.  Like...

Sit still.  

The girls were enough older that we could actually sit and relax this year.  They loved the water so much.  Whitney has become quite the little swimmer and Lindsey isn't the least bit afraid to tackle the waves.  The beach itself was awesome.  Not too busy, a short walk to get set up, shells to find, but Ben's favorite part, and I would have to agree, is that we didn't have to get the kids in the car the entire week.  Everything was in walking distance.  That is a huge accomplishment!  And made for happy kiddos!  Here's more of what we filled our week with:

Chased the birds away from our snacks

Hung out at the fishing pier

Tried to open up clams

Hit the waves

Looked for shells

Played with daddy

And mommy

And friends, building lots of sandcastles

Ate snacks

Ate dinner

Ate Hawaiian Ice

Danced

Rested

Looked cute in a hat

Played in the icky sea foam

Flew a kite

Jumped off the sand dunes

Tried to take some pictures on the beach.  We got a few.

And had a fabulous time!
