"IAM" Choir Program

Not the best pictures, but Whitney got to participate in her first big choir production at church.  She loved it!  And even though she didn't have a special part, she sung her little heart out and busted out all of her movements!  She is already anxiously waiting for the day when she is in 3rd grade to try out for a part!  Maybe we have a little actress on our hands!

Boston

Ben and I took a quick trip to Boston.  It was kind of a "work" trip.  He went to go be part of a research study a group of people are doing about the effects of concussions.  Mainly we went to get a good base line if he starts to have any problems down the road.  Good news is, right now he seems to be a-ok!  While we were there we did the Freedom Trail walk, a audio history tour throughout the city.  Right up Ben's alley!

Sweet Lindsey

Lindsey Lu was practicing her roller skating in our driveway for her big sister's birthday party tomorrow and fell and hurt her elbow. :(  After taking her to urgent care, it doesn't look like a break, however, doc says no roller skating at the party.
UPDATE:  After two weeks of healing, she still wasn't quite able to straighten it out all the way.  So we took her to the orthopedic doctor and sure enough there was a small fracture in there.  See arrow above.  Couple more weeks of healing and she should be good.  No cast, just a removable cast when she is out playing.  She does not like it one little bit.

7!

We have a seven year old!  And although I thoroughly can not believe it, I am so proud of this girl.  She is learning and growing, both physically and spiritually, every day.  I can't wait to see what plans God has for her in her life.  She is such a happy little girl and lights up a room!  She still loves crafty, artsy things.  But reading and science gets her really jazzed up too.  We had a fun day celebrating her with a trip to see Frozen, "since mommy hasn't seen it yet" and the birthday girls choice at meals???  Pancakes and strawberries for breakfast, a pizza lunchable for lunch, and crab legs, yes, crab legs for dinner, a la Red Lobster.  Love that girl!  It's a blessing to be her mama!
