Daddy had a quick 24 hours off so Whit took advantage of the time by getting in some good snuggles!

House Update
While we were at the beach, the footings were poured and cured and there were some extra trees taken out. When we got back, they started putting up the forms for the walls and installed plumbing and electric in the floor. We are making some major progress!
Look at this little peanut! She loves tromping around out there in that mud!

Swamp Loggers
So for Christmas we got Ben's dad a Harley rental for a day during our trip to the beach. Ben's dad isn't much for the beach. He would much rather prefer to meander through the countryside looking at farmland. So Ben thought it would be nice for the two of them to get away from the beach for a day on Harley's to see it. Well. Then it clicked in my hubby's brain. The Swamp Loggers (from the Discovery Channel show) are in North Carolina. And Ben's dad loves that show. Ben made a couple phone calls and the next thing we know he is on the personal cell phone of the main guy on the show, Bobby Goodson. He found out where they were going to be working and when and mapped out the course. It was only a three hour trip one way. Well, Than and CJ initially weren't going to join on the Harley adventure, but once they figured out where they were going, they decided to follow the boys behind them in the car. And actually, they figured out that it was a little further than they first thought, so Tim and Ben parked the bikes and hopped in the car for the rest of the way. All I know is this. They had the best day ever! They were all grinning from ear to ear about meeting those people. Apparently they were all super nice, genuine, down-to-earth...just what they had hoped for. So, sweaty swamp for the men, breezy beach for the ladies. It's a win-win!
Folly Beach
We loved Folly Beach so much last year that we decided to go back again this year. This year Ben organized for his family to come with us and a big group of our friends came the same time too. There were a lot of people and a lot of kiddos! Very good time and great memories.
Lunch at Waffle House on the way there!
First toe dips! These girls LOVE the beach!
Who says rain can stop beach fun!?
Our little nephew, Easton, loved the water. And he only ate about a half a cup of sand while we were there :)
The girls did LOTS of tubing and boogie boarding. Sweet Lindsey wore her tube all around, even when she wasn't in the water. They loved the waves!
Whitney and Kallie
Whit tried to skim board. She fell a couple times, but got right back up and tried again.
One way to boogie board...sweet Emma.
Going out for the real thing with daddy
Lindsey's turn
Now as much as the girls loved the water, Lindsey did not like the taste of the salt water. Somehow I just happened to catch her reactions to getting a big mouth fulls. I can just tell you from experience, that these faces are about .2 seconds away from tears.
There was a lot of lounging...
Love him!
A lot of frisbee and football throwing...
I'm not real sure what's going on here, but it looks like Lindsey is laughing at something her daddy said or did. Those girls love their daddy!
And a lot of looking for seashells and sand castle making
Andrew and Lindsey being silly. These two were best buds!
Out to eat
Napping
Sisters!
Out on the pier
Scary faces vs...
Scared face
Preferred mode of transportation for the kiddos during the week
Crepes! Oh so yummy!
Hawaiian Ice. Easton LOVED him some shaved ice! Blue lips and all!
My friend Mandy has became THE photographer for a lot of our friends. She works her mack-daddy camera like none other! She offered to take some pictures of all of us together so we took her up on it!
