Ben had a bye week last week. They were given almost an entire week off which is unheard of in this business. Our great friends Chad and Mandy came up from Georgia and we all spent the weekend in the city, without the kiddos. Big thanks to Grammy Hartsock for coming in to watch our girls and Chad and Mandy's families for watching their kids. We had an awesome time and saw so much and ate sooooo much. The trip pretty much revolved around food, including a chocolate restaurant that we waited for over an hour. It was open until 2am, I think we left around 1am. We walked all over lower Manhattan, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Little Italy. We mastered the subway system...ok, maybe not mastered, but we could at least get our way around. We saw Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, the ticker-tape parade for the Yankees, the World Trade Center temporary Memorial, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the NY Public Library, Times Square, Central Park...the list goes on. We saw a ton of stuff and ate at some pretty awesome food joints too. Before we headed back on Sunday, Ben and I squeezed in a visit to the Museum of Natural History as well. It was a great way to get re-energized for the second half of the season!
At the top of the building where we stayed, we rented an apartment for the weekend

In Bryant Park, this is where Fashion Week takes place. They had a bunch of vendors set up here. Mandy and I could've spent alot more time here, but the guys just didn't seem as impressed.
