Swamp Loggers

So for Christmas we got Ben's dad a Harley rental for a day during our trip to the beach.  Ben's dad isn't much for the beach.  He would much rather prefer to meander through the countryside looking at farmland.  So Ben thought it would be nice for the two of them to get away from the beach for a day on Harley's to see it.  Well.  Then it clicked in my hubby's brain.  The Swamp Loggers (from the Discovery Channel show) are in North Carolina.  And Ben's dad loves that show.  Ben made a couple phone calls and the next thing we know he is on the personal cell phone of the main guy on the show, Bobby Goodson.  He found out where they were going to be working and when and mapped out the course.  It was only a three hour trip one way.  Well, Than and CJ initially weren't going to join on the Harley adventure, but once they figured out where they were going, they decided to follow the boys behind them in the car.  And actually, they figured out that it was a little further than they first thought, so Tim and Ben parked the bikes and hopped in the car for the rest of the way.  All I know is this.  They had the best day ever!  They were all grinning from ear to ear about meeting those people.  Apparently they were all super nice, genuine, down-to-earth...just what they had hoped for.  So, sweaty swamp for the men, breezy beach for the ladies.  It's a win-win!
