Spring Break in an RV

Wow...lots of miles (I think around 1700 and about 8 mpg), lots of friends and family, and lots of fun!  Ben has had RV fever for a few years now.  Last years trip didn't go as well as it could have, but this year made up for it!  Ben was telling everyone we were taking a trip down memory lane, and in essence we were.  The NFL has brought us many friends in many places, so we decided to visit a few of them.

First stop was Nashville to visit Jennifer and Ingle, and just by chance some of our other friends, Casey and Kelsey, were in town from St. Louis too!  We were only in Nashville for one night.  It was supposed to be two, but I was sick so we left a day later than we wanted.  The kiddos played hard and we stayed up late chatting over life's big issues. :)

When we left Nashville, we headed to Indianapolis to stay with Hunter and Jen.  Well, we didn't actually stay in their house, we stayed in the RV, in their driveway.  We were there two nights.  One of those nights Hunter and Jen graciously hosted a dinner at their house with a big group of our friends.  It was so, so good to see these people!  A lot of them we haven't seen since we left Indy and for sure our kiddos hadn't met.  All the kids played so hard!  We had so much fun staying up late talking, catching up and just relaxing.

After Indy we headed to Ohio.  We stayed at my parents one night, then headed to Ben's parents.  The girls got to see baby pigs at Abby and CJ's.  Whitney loved those things.  She was in the pen for probably an hour just chasing them around, taking them from the mom to the heating lamp, then from the heating lamp back to the mom, picking them up, putting them down...she loved it.  Lindsey, on the other hand, wasn't too keen.  I think it was because when she first walked in, Whitney was wrangling one and it was just squealing like crazy.  Loud noises and Lindsey don't really go well together.  Unless she is the one being loud! :)

Once we left Ohio we were going to drive straight back home, but instead we decided to break it up and parked the old girl at a KOA in south Chattanooga.  We got Cracker Barrel to go, bought some stuff to build and campfire and make smores and played at the campground for the night, then headed the rest of the way home the next morning.

I think the girls are totally hooked on RV trips.  They think its just the best thing.  Daddy couldn't agree more! :)  Thankful for the sweet memories and sweet people we saw along the way!
