Field Day

Whitney had her first field day today at school.  There were pretty much all the standard games, egg and spoon race, tug of war, kick ball.  But also some new ones, noodle tag, parachute, hoola hoop relay, tail tag.  I guess, true to modern day political correctness, in Kindergarten there are no winners or losers.  "We're all winners" or "It's a tie" were the phrases of the day.  Supposedly in 2nd grade they actually start keeping score.  Wonder what makes 2nd grade acceptable?  Anyway, despite the fact there were no ribbons to collect, the kids all seemed to have fun and were out getting exercise.  I loved being there to see all the action.
