Whitney's Last Day of Kindergarten

Man!  That went fast.  Her first year of school is in the books.  I'm so happy it's summer time, just to have them both home, with no agenda.  But geez, is she really going to be in first grade this fall?  What a great first year of school.  Whitney learned so much.  She's writing great and reading up a storm.  Thankful she loves school and learning.  Anxious to see what God is going to do in her sweet little life as she grows.  Until then, we are going to enjoy the sweet, sweet summertime!

Whitney on a 4 Wheeler

Oh, daddy is a happy man.  His oldest daughter got on a real 4 wheeler today and did so well.  He was in heaven.  Not to mention that Whitney loved it too!  He's so been looking forward to the days where we can all go riding together.  Today we got one step closer!  Oh, and his patience with her while he was teaching her, got him the job of teaching both girls to drive when the time comes.

Hiking

Just doing a little family hiking on a Saturday morning.  Fun times exploring Little Mulberry Park just around the corner.

My Bday

34...I'm officially in my mid-thirties.  How the heck did that happen?  Guess it's good I still feel like I'm in my mid-twenties.  I celebrated at Whitney's school party during the day, then came home to a yummy cake and thoughtful gifts from the girls that they came up with on their own.  Ben got me some super fun cowboy boots that I had been talking about getting for a few years now.  And then he and I went out for dinner at the Atlanta Food Truck lot.  Being the foodies that we think we are, we had been wanting to go there for awhile.  Probably 15 different food trucks park in one lot and you get to pick and choose which ones you want to try.  We had meatball sliders, tacos, beef quesadilla, fries, BBQ mac and cheese...and we only ate at a few different trucks.  It was so much fun!  Thankful for another year to live this sweet life!

Kindergarten Spring Party

The end of the school year brings lots of celebrations.  All of the Kindergarten classes had a big outdoor spring party with different stations.  Bubbles and chalk, sponge hot potato, digging for treasure and an obstacle course.  And of course some popsicles to cool down!  The end is just around the corner!

Awana Awards

Whitney and Lindsey finished up Awana this week.  We have been amazed at how well both girls did at memorizing scriptures.  They both loved it and we are so proud of them for sticking with it and working so hard to finish their books this year!
