What a blessing to be these girl's mama. To be a mama at all. Thankful for a hubby that recognizes me and thinks I do a good job being a mama. Because there are days, so many days, I feel like I fail at being a mama. I'm just thankful for chances to do things over again and their super forgiving hearts. There is nothing more precious to me on earth than my hubby and these girls. They are everything! Thanks for loving me!

Lindsey's Last Day
Lindsey had her last day of preschool today. She had a great second half of the year at Hebron with Mrs. Judy and Mrs. Kathy. So thankful for sweet teachers to love on our baby girl.

Field Day
Whitney had her first field day today at school. There were pretty much all the standard games, egg and spoon race, tug of war, kick ball. But also some new ones, noodle tag, parachute, hoola hoop relay, tail tag. I guess, true to modern day political correctness, in Kindergarten there are no winners or losers. "We're all winners" or "It's a tie" were the phrases of the day. Supposedly in 2nd grade they actually start keeping score. Wonder what makes 2nd grade acceptable? Anyway, despite the fact there were no ribbons to collect, the kids all seemed to have fun and were out getting exercise. I loved being there to see all the action.

When I Grow Up Night
The girls had to dress up for Awana as what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Whitney, an artist
And Lindsey, Cinderella in a movie
Can't wait to see where God directs them as they grow up!
Update on the House
There's been a lot of changes in the last month or so. Trim is up, dry wall is mudded, wood floors are in, the front door is on, tile is starting...it's really getting fun to see it all come together now.
Front door (with a pretty princess)
Foyer looking into family room/kitchen
Built ins in the family room
Back hall to bathroom and back yard

Master bath, almost ready for my tub :)
Outside they have been working on the jack arches (a.k.a. the little stone pieces above the windows)
Soon it'll be cabinets and paint!

Playing Hookie
Whitney played hookie for her first time today. With Ben being gone now most of the week, we wanted to just have an extra day together. So, we kept Whitney out of school and took the girls to Legoland. They played until their hearts were content and were zonked on the way home. Sweet Lindsey more so than Whitney. Happy day!

It Begins Again
So, Ben has been working out here in Georgia since February, but now he's working back up in Charlotte with the team doing their off-season workout program. We were happy that he was able to resign with the Panthers for one more year. Now, as always, this doesn't guarantee him a spot on the team. He'll still need to make the team during training camp in August, but for now he's in Charlotte for the week and comes back home on the weekends. It's not easy on any of us when daddy is gone, but it sure is fun to welcome him home every Thursday afternoon! We are thankful for another opportunity for another year. Heading into 10! Thankful for a hubby that works hard for us, provides, protects and keeps us first in a crazy business. Praying for blessings and protection for him while he is doing his best.

Lindsey's Fourth Birthday
On the day of Lindsey's fourth birthday we left on our RV trip.
She was actually pretty excited about it. She still got to pick out her meals for the day. Peanut butter sandwich and watermelon for breakfast at home, Dairy Queen on the road for lunch, and Subway for dinner at our friends in Nashville. We got her some cupcakes to blow out the candles and opened a few presents. I'm pretty sure she felt special.
Can't believe there are four candles on that cupcake
She loves to lick the candles
Presents from sissy. A lil' sis/big sis necklace and wedding Cinderella and Prince Charming
Cinderella Lego castle from mommy and daddy
Love this sweet, sweet girl
In Ohio we had her official birthday party with family and some friends. This girl is all about Cinderella right now, so that's what we did!
Excited for cake!
Lots of people to help celebrate
Pinata!
And it's open!!!
Present time!
Happy birthday baby girl!
