Pumpkin Time

We went to a pumpkin patch yesterday with our friends, the Fowlers. It had animals to pet and feed, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, a hay tunnel and a big hay stack to climb. All very fun!

More City

Yesterday we went back into the city. As they do this time of year, the nice, pretty days to be outside are dwindling away, and since it was cold and rainy, we chose an indoor activity. We wanted to go to a museum of some sort, but they all closed around 5pm and we couldn't get in the city til about 3, so that didn't work. But, we did go to Toys R Us in Times Square! It's three floors of toy goodness and has a huge ferris wheel in the middle. Whitney was amazed at all the toys and we had a good time seeing what all she was attracted to. Her favorite things were a grocery cart and a large train set. She played with the train for about 20 minutes. We also rode the ferris wheel. The first time she had been on one, I guess for Lindsey too, and the first time Ben and I had been on one in YEARS. I don't even remember the last time I have been on one...Anyway, she loved the ferris wheel too, but as most things are with her, things get old very quickly and there was a lot of starting and stopping so it got old pretty quickly for her. We were there for a couple of hours, then went to eat dinner at a place called 5 napkin burger...delicious! We've eaten at three different places in the city and all have been fabulous. Ben made the point though, would we really be gushing over the food if it were in, say, Idaho somewhere? Regardless, the food has been tremendous!

Lindsey-6 Months

Lindsey is 6 months! She is side sitting and getting around, not crawling yet, but scoots her knees up under her then launches her arms forward and rocks back and forth on her belly. That's how she gets around. It's pretty funny to watch. She weighs 17 pounds and is 27 inches long. No teeth yet, but she's drooling non stop, so they are on their way! She still just smiles all the time and loves watching her big sister. Whitney loves entertaining her and playing peekaboo with her. We love watching the two of them together. It's a small glimpse of whats to come. Can't wait to see them interact more and more...

Sweet Girls

Fun at the Funplex

We went to play at an indoor game place last week. They had lots of games, bumper cars and a foam ball area to run around in. When got 70 tickets from the games and got a little slinky! Can't believe that's all it cost! :) Anyway, it was her first time to drive bumper cars...she gave it about 2 minutes and then was done. Pretty cute to watch though!

Lindsey's New Move

Anyone ever seen a baby do this?

Ben's First Touchdown!

It happened! Ben got his first NFL touchdown on Sunday against the Titans. It happened in the 1st quarter to put us up 14-0. To make it even sweeter, the team won too! 3-0! And yes, he got to keep the ball. So we will display it proudly. So proud of him for his patience and perseverance. It was a long time comin' for him!
The Catch...
And celebration!

Other pics from the game. This was too cute to pass up.
Lindsey just looks thrilled...

Back To The City Again

So on Tuesday we headed back to the city to go to the Central Park Zoo and FAO Schwartz. This time we drove in. It really wasn't bad at all. The zoo is just a small zoo, just enough to take up a couple of hours. Perfect! After the zoo we went to FAO Schwartz and Whitney got to check out all three floors of toys. She, of course, wanted everything she could see and get her hands on. :) Its fun to see her experience the city. She and Lindsey both just look around while we push them around the streets in their double stroller. So blessed to be making memories with them. After just about the best hamburger I've ever had, we headed back over the river to our cozy little home in New Jersey...Great day!

Lindsey's First Food

Lindsey started on sweet potatoes this week. She seems to like them. Digestion is questionable at the time...waiting for a MAJOR blowout!

The Jets Beat New England

What a game! We played New England last weekend and won! Ben and I knew this was a division rivalry, but we really didn't understand to what extent. I mean, these people HATE the Patriots! It made for a very exciting game. The fans were on their feet the entire game, which I haven't experienced in the stands of an NFL game yet. Ben claimed it was the closest thing he had heard to being in Ohio Stadium. It was LOUD! My parents were in town, my dad drove Ben's truck up from (wet) Atlanta. Both girls went to the game, but Lindsey stayed down in the provided day care for player's families. So grateful for that! Whitney got to go up and enjoy the game with mommy!

On Her Knees

She's up on her knees! Lindsey is thinking about how she can get around...we'll keep you posted on her progress. Is anyone else not ready for this?

First Game as a Jet

Ben's first game as a Jet was at Houston. It was a win! Yahoo! I think he looks pretty good in green and white! He met up with some high school friends, Steve and Amy (Mick) Welch, the night before and they went to the game, so these pictures are from them. Thanks!
