Thanksgiving Weekend

Since Ben had a home game on Thanksgiving night, all of his family came here for the game and Thanksgiving as well.  It was a ton a fun seeing all the little people together.  Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often, so it was a special time for them to play together.  They all did very well and had no major meltdowns or sharing issues.  We tried to let Whitney and Ava sleep in the same room at night, but after about 45 minutes of talking we decided we needed to separate them.  It was funny to listen to them talk though.  They each took turns telling stories and just gabbing.  Really cute.  Lindsey, of course wanted to do whatever Whitney and Ava were doing and little Andrew, the lone boy, blended right in and held his own with all these girls.  As usual, we have much to be thankful for this year and these little ones are a huge part of it!
Yowza!  Look at all those groceries!

Turkey Trot

It was time to step up my race running...this time instead of a 5k, I did a 5 miler.  I felt pretty good about it since I have been running that 2-3 times a week.  I was excited to see at the end that I finished about a minute faster than I had been running at 52:32.  I have my eyes on a 10k next...
Me and the girls before the race.  It was freezing and windy!
The girls played with daddy on a playground while the waited for me.

A Cold Thanksgiving Game

Thanksgiving night against the Bengals.  There was supposed to be a 100% chance of rain and cold.  We were prepared for The Flood, but fortunately, "they" were wrong about the rain.  We all sure looked great though!  And, the Jets won! 9-2 baby!

Ice Skating

Whitney has been wanting to go ice skating for a few weeks now, and yesterday we went!  There's an indoor rink just down the road from us.  She loved it!  She definitely got better the longer we were out there.  And she attempted to do it herself a few times per her own request, but it only took a few falls for her to realize that she still wanted mommy's hand, which at times, I'm not so sure was the safest place to be.  She kept wanting to do what the other kids were doing and turn in circles, but I reassured her that she wasn't ready for that yet.  She lastest about 45 minutes, then she claimed it was making her "tired".  I'm sure it was hard work for that little body.  I know it was for my old body! :)

Dance Night!

It was parent night at Whitney's dance class tonight.  She's been taking a combination tap/ballet/tumble class for a couple months now.  She is loving it!  She says that tap is her favorite and we can tell you that "shuf-fle, step" is her favorite move!  We were so happy to see her in action tonight.  She was excited about it all day long.  I love the excitement she has for life.  She's such a funny little girl.  So precious.

Bummer!

The Jets had a hard day on Sunday, a loss to the Packers.  No fun, but onto the next one!
