We got to go to Lindsey's class to visit and have snacks. Lindsey is blessed with the sweetest teachers, Ms. Tracie and Ms. Suzanne. She has really loved going to school at Hebron and loves seeing her sister on the playground. They are on different playgrounds at the same time and apparentely meet up at the fence each time. I would love to see that!

Whitney's School Program
It's so fun to watch this girl perform. She loves the spotlight. It will be interesting to see what she ends up doing with her life. She makes everything she does fun. I know she is making the Lord smile as she is worshiping Him! She has some major intensity about it at times. So great!
After the performance we got to go to her classroom for snacks. We are thankful for her teachers Ms. Casey and Ms. Paula. Whitney has really enjoyed school at Hebron.

Choir Program
Whitney was able to start in our church's kids choir this year. She loved it, especially since her favorite teacher was the director, Ms. Joy. Ms. Joy has been around Whitney since she started preschool and goes to our church too, so Whitney was even more excited to learn Ms. Joy was the choir leader. And as we found out at the program, Whitney has a new friend named Samantha. She happens to go to school with Whitney too. They were pretty funny together. They both have lots of energy!
So excited to find mommy and daddy in the crowd!
And it begins!

WOW...
Physically the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Wow. Last Sunday I ran and finished my first half marathon throughout downtown Atlanta. I've been training since the week after Christmas. I trained in four different states, through different terrains and different climates. All and all, the training went great. Unfortunately, I was on antibiotics and steroids the week of the race for a cough and sinus infection. So my confidence was down as well as not being in tip top shape. But still, the goal for the race was to run the whole thing and finish in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It went well. I finished. I did it. But, I didn't at all finish the way I wanted to. The course was soooo hilly, way more than expected. At mile 9 I looked at my running partner, Christa, and said I didn't think I could do it. She was a great encourager and kept me going, albeit slower than earlier on. I could tell my body was not liking what was happening. My legs were tingly and I just didn't feel right. Well, at mile 12 (only 1.1 miles to go) my calves cramped up and I fell. Thankfully, not hard and I didn't get hurt. After just a few minutes, I started walking just enough to work the cramps out and then ran to end to finish the dang thing! I crossed the finish line in 2:31. So had I not fallen I totally would have made my goal. So there is redemption in my future! That being said, I am so thankful for the experience. It really was a ton of fun. I loved the whole atmosphere and the whole process from beginning to end. What a challenge! I'm so thankful for my hubby for his support during training and on race day, being out there with the girls at 6:30am. It was such an energy boost to see them at mile 5. Now I get to just enjoy running (Ben says, "if that's even possible") for a few months until I decide when I'm going to tackle the next one...preferably without falling or walking. :)
The sweet kiddos. Bless their little hearts!
All smiles at the start!
More smiles at mile 5. Can you tell we were happy to see them!?
About to turn the corner to see the finish line. Not so much smiles anymore :)

The Big 4!
Four years old. I'm not sure how I feel about this. She's so grown up. And even though we are supposed to be teaching her, she is teaching us more. She loves life. Everything should be celebrated in dramatic fashion in her sweet, little eyes. She loves sweets, chocolate to be exact. She loves to play outside. And watch shows. Fresh Beat Band is probably her favorite, although Looney Tunes has recently become a fave too. She loves her baby sister. She hates to eat. She loves to read books, and do puzzles, and dance. She loves doing crafty things. She loves school and has "the best day ever" every day. She is precious. Four years old...
We let her pick her meals for the day. For breakfast, smore Pop Tarts and lucky charms (with marshmallows, as she adds)
Then she wanted to make and decorate her birthday cake with cake stuff she got from her friend Kallie. She had one, Lindsey had one and mommy and daddy "could share one"
For lunch she requested lunchables pizza. After lunch we went to Monkey Joes. For dinner she wanted "the pizza beside Monkey Joes" aka Little Ceasers. What can I say, she is a pizza girl, or should I say, daddy's girl.
And the day was topped off with a big girl bike. She still not so sure of it, but she really did a good job with it.

Whitney's Ariel Birthday!
We celebrated Whitney's 4th birthday Saturday with her buddies. She is all about Ariel right now so that's what the girl wanted! We had friends dressed up as princesses, cake and ice cream, hot potato, and pin the tiara on Ariel. Also, Grammy and Grandma and Grandpa got to be there too! Hard to believe she's just about four :(
